Bob and I did 23 consecutive house/pet sits all over the world. Now we have our own home and 2 year old Toy Poodle. Our scheduled housesitters have had to cancel. We are now looking for someone else to come November 16 to December 3 to care for our beautifully renovated home (inside and out). It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a beautiful kitchen and open plan. Our home is across the street from Lake Wildwood and only 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe. To the south 45 minutes is our state capitol, Sacramento. The Yuba River and covered bridge is 10 minutes away. All offer opportunities for hiking, biking, boating, swimming, picnicing and lovely drives in all seasons. This is gold country with mines to visit and period towns all around. Our home sits in a pastoral setting without any direct neighbors. Grocery, pharmacy, hair salon, cleaners, dentist, and doctor are within 2 miles. This is the time for the fall leaves, it is beautiful here.
Max, our toy poodle, is just turning 2. He weighs 8.5 pounds. He has completed 5 training classes and is in the process of certification as a therapy dog. He generally behaves well, likes all people and dogs. Lake Wildwood does not allow fences. Therefore, Max must be on a lead when outdoors. There are wild animals in the area which could do him harm. He has doggy doors and a run, but prefers to be taken out every 4-5 hours. He can be left alone for that amount of time. He is very athletic, loves to travel and to hike. We try to take him for a walk everyday. He sticks to your side like velcro when in the house and sleeps on our bed. He is funny and keeps us laughing!
