* Last minute request**
Hi - this is last minute - we realize. We thought we had other arrangements made for this week away, but they have fallen through! So apologies for the scramble! It would be ideal if you could arrive at our home at least a day before we left to let Glory get used to you.
We live in the small city of Cranbrook. We are two blocks from a lovely forest walk for the dog. There is a bus service right outside our house. We have neighbours but our street is quiet. We are looking for a house sitter/pet sitter for our 6 year old Belgian Malinois/Husky cross. She is a rescue from Northern California. We have had her for just over 3 year now. She is a very nice girl, likes people and other dogs. She needs 1 good walk in the morning, and 2 short ones before dark! THis is a new thing with her! oh and of course she likes to be fed twice a day! As she is a rescue, she does have a few quirks, - She is not crazy about sudden loud noises, and of course fireworks and thunderstorms, but those should not be happening this time of year! She is getting better with loud things all the time. She likes to be around people, and is NOT happy to be left alone for long periods of time.
We like our home maintained in a tidy manner, and due to the time of year likely will require some snow removal. We do have a snow blower we would be happy to show you how to use!
We have a large home, well maintained on the edge of the city. Close to forested walking paths. There are many outdoor activities in this area. Skiing, hiking, cultural events, and the occassional (in winter) farmers markets and craft fairs. Kimberley is a 25 minute drive away, and has a beautiful platzl where there are quaint shops and restaurants. We have high speed internet, so perfect for someone who works remotely.
We have a hot tub to warm your bones after some time outside, or just for the cool days!
