We have a quiet detached house in a friendly neighbourhood within easy walking distance of historic City Centre with great restaurants, theatres, bars, famous Cathedral and other monuments. It is a vibrant University Town and also boasts numerous excellent language schools. Train station with high speed to central London in just under an hour and central bus also nearby. Leeds Castle and Dover Castle Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Margate all worth visiting. There are also beautiful coastal and woodland walks nearby.
You are welcome to use all facilities: wi fi, cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, tv, garden etc. Cleaner comes once a week every fourteen days. Please can you let her in and make sure the house is tidy when she arrives.
It is very important to put waste into the correct containers and make sure packaging is rinsed before being put away: paper and cardboard into the bin with the red top; recyclable plastic, glass and metal in the bin with the blue top; compostable waste into the small grey bin; non-recyclable into the large grey bin. Ideally I would like to be there the first day of your stay so I can show you everything and we can get to know each other. However I will also leave written instructions and contact details. Neighbours are helpful and my parents live close by in case of problems and you will also have my mobile.
The cat is fairly independent she just needs to be fed in the morning and let out and then called in in the evening when you are ready to go to bed. This can be any time including late at night so you will have lots of opportunity to explore the area. When you are out please remember to put on the burglar alarm. I will leave instructions.
If it is raining or very cold she will not want to go out. If this happens she needs to stay in the kitchen and programming the alarm is slightly different. Also if she is alone in the house for a long time, I am sorry, but it will be necessary to empty her litter tray into a bag, close the bag and put it in the grey bin and refill the litter tray.
Please can you also sweep the leaves in the garden twice during your stay and put this in the green bin. The large bins must be wheeled onto the street kerb every Thursday night and returned on Friday evening.
On two weekends while you are here my husband and autistic son will share the house. They will not need to use your room but they will need access to the kitchen and family bathroom. You are welcome to stay in the house or use this opportunity to take a weekend break away to visit other attractions in the UK.
