Spend a month in beautiful Barcelona while looking after our friendly cat!
We're after someone to spend the month of August at our flat in Barcelona's Camp de L'Arpa neighbourhood, a mere 20 minutes' walk from the world-famous Sagrada Familia cathedral and the excellent restaurants and bars of Passeig de Gaudí. The neighbourhood is a typical residential area, full of families and local businesses (plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep), and you'll be away from the busy tourist areas but with easy access to all of the city's attractions by public transport (nearest metro station is less than a minute's walk from the front door) or by foot.
The flat is two bedrooms (plus office) with room to accommodate two adults in the main bedroom (there's also a side sleeper cot for babies under 6 months old). The second bedroom can either be set up with a cot or a double airbed - please let us know ahead of time what configuration you'd need. We also have a high chair for babies over six months old. Please note however that the apartment has not yet been baby proofed for children that can move/explore independently as our son has not reached that age yet.
There is AC in the main living area, which has a balcony overlooking a bustling but quiet street, and plenty of fans throughout the rest of the house. Windows and doors at the front and back of the house allow air to circulate through.
We have a washing machine, dishwasher and all technological conveniences to make your stay comfortable (high-speed WiFi, Netflix, Google assistant speakers etc). We would ensure that adequate cleaning has taken place to reduce the spread of covid and will leave sufficient cleaning products to keep the flat hygienic. We can provide towels and bathroom supplies.
Our block is full of families and elderly people so definitely not somewhere for partying. Neighbours are quiet and friendly - you'd be joining a typical Barcelona community.
Our cat is friendly but not needy so you'd simply need to keep him company while you're in the flat but you'd be free to spend your days exploring the city and surrounding areas. We'd need you to feed the cat, play with him when you're in the house and keep his litter tray clean etc.
